Meet Pauline and Colin

It all started in the summer of 2020, when the world felt upside down, and dating apps became a surprisingly effective way to connect with someone new. That’s how Pauline and Colin first met: a swipe, a message, and something that just clicked.

From the beginning, their connection felt easy, like they'd known each other much longer than they had. Pauline is thoughtful, steady, and practical. Colin is loyal, lighthearted, and brings a good dose of humor into the mix. Together, they strike a great balance: she keeps things grounded, and he keeps things fun.

Over the years, their relationship has grown through shared experiences, mutual support, and a lot of laughter. Pauline introduced Colin to the joys of Eastern European cuisine (borscht included and yes, with sour cream). In return, Colin brought Pauline into the world of golf, not exactly for the scorecards, but for the laughs and the time spent together. Video games became another shared pastime, even if Pauline is still working out the controls (and Colin’s still taking advantage with some competitive trash talk).

Then there’s Bosun, their dog and very obvious favorite family member. Whether he’s chasing a ball or claiming the best spot on the couch, he’s been a constant source of joy and a reminder of the life they’ve built together.

In February 2025, during a winter hike to Awosting Falls in New Paltz, Colin proposed. It was a quiet, thoughtful moment in a place that felt just right, surrounded by nature and the kind of calm they both love.

So it makes perfect sense that they’re getting married at the top of a mountain. Hunter Mountain, to be exact, celebrating with friends and family in a place that reflects so much of who they are.

Their story is full of the everyday stuff that matters: support, humor, shared goals, and knowing they’re better together than apart. This next chapter is just the beginning, and they can’t wait for what comes next.
